on Fandoms
a long ramble about the various fandoms ive been in
The mcu was the first 'fandom' i was part of, for reasons i was never realy an internet kid, we had a metered connection, and one day my mother let me loose on it when i was just entering double digits. my father yelled at me for downloading a photo of my birsthstone. i had put it in a document with my birth month
i played videogames sure, games innapropriate for my age in terms of violence [retern to castle wolfenstine 2 was my first and main of these] and loved the stetllers games. but they were all discks that went into a laptop.
my main experiences with the internet were youtube [watching music videos at a frends home computer] and animal jam. even on an interactive game like animal jam i stuck with my frend.
years later my freinds dragged me to the cineima. this movie called captain marvel was showing. [bree larsons biseps were something even if i dilsike alot of the ideals of the movie now] we then went to watch endgame. the main soical media i was on was instagram, all my freinds were. so i looked up the charecters. followed some accounts. a big thing on instagram is reposted tumblr screenshots. now thats a tangent so lets put a pin in that. the accounts. i was looking through the tags and found a new account, it had the summarys and titles of wrightings that sounds interesting. they had a link in the caption. to a website called ao3
lets look at that pin now. so i had seen lots of reposted tumblr posts. as i wandered into the fandom i saw more and more fandom reposts. eventualy i though id check the site out. i singned up with a filler username and an image i had lying around
the start of an era. so i dived into the mcu fandom. i found out about the comics, the ed brukerbarcer captian america run. the ressurection of bucky barns as the winter soldier
i loved it. it was the perfect comic for me, inteaging and exiting. i still love the comic, its one of the first i bought. not the whole run, but the first 12 issues.
i read all of it. i read civil war too, and then buckys cap run, then his series after. i then found the comics side of the fandom. i enjoyed it a lot more
i never posted anything. i never even really reblogged it to my blog. i wish i had. but i just watched and read by myself
i eventualy tired of the mcu, alot of the things i had liked i didnt anymore. i was comics all the way baby!
i got a tablet. id just read name of the rose an exelent black widow arc. i treid to draw one of the pannels. i got better. i posted these on my instagram. but boom. babys first fanart.
the one day i saw a funny skit. it was dc, something i was mainly unaware of. it turns out a charecter had just come out. a hero named tim drake. turned out there were multiple robins. i found this guy and watched all his skits
[turns out id come to hate tim and disagrre with the creator of those vidos to]
from there i desended into the dc fandom. i will say i found my 'corner' rather faster than with the mcu/marvel. i knew what to look out for. i quickly found the talia fans, and refined my tastes.
i then got into the authority
